“We need, above all things, to slow down
and get ourselves to amble through life
instead of to rush through it.”
Alan Watts
Hi, I am Janina
I love helping mid-career professionals navigate messy career transitions, find what excites them, and move toward something better. As a mindfulness advocate, I also teach tools to handle life’s ups and downs with more ease and resilience.
When your job drains you and your mind won’t rest
Your job drains you. You feel stressed, overwhelmed, and disconnected. Relaxing feels impossible because your mind refuses to switch off, and Monday mornings feel like being hit by a storm. Even your health is starting to suffer.
I know how hard it is to feel stuck in a job that exhausts you. That nagging voice whispers, “This isn’t it,” but fear keeps you frozen. You fake a smile at work, even though deep down you’re unhappy, feeling like you’re barely holding it together. Late at night, you scroll through job boards, hoping for a miracle that never comes.
I’ve been there - my mind constantly racing through to-do lists, stressing about work, and struggling to unwind, even at night. I couldn’t sleep properly and woke up feeling worse than before. I tried everything to quiet the chaos - meditation apps, sitting on a cushion, you name it. But instead of the calm I craved, I found myself even more restless and frustrated.
Deep down, you want more. You long for work that feels meaningful. But you’re stuck in a loop, too afraid to leap into the unknown, unsure what comes next.
You deserve more than counting down the days until the next holiday.
“It’s worth remembering that for any change to happen in your life, you must be wrong about something. If you’re sitting there, miserable day after day, then that means you’re already wrong about something major in your life, and until you’re able to question yourself to find it, nothing will change.”
Mark Manson, the subtle art of not giving a f*ck
Years ago, I landed what looked like a dream job at a big corporate company. On paper, it was perfect. In reality, it wasn’t.
I loved the creative parts of my role, but something was missing. The corporate grind wasn’t for me, and I couldn’t shake the feeling that I didn’t belong. I wanted work that made an impact, but instead, I spent weekends recovering from the stress and exhaustion that never truly went away.
I thought about quitting - but fear kept me stuck. What if I couldn’t find something better? What if I made the wrong move? I ignored the signs for too long - low energy, mood swings, sleepless nights until my body forced me to stop.
Here’s the truth: staying in a job does not fit isn’t just bad for your career, it’s bad for your health.
Being in thE wrong job is bad for your health
Eventually, staying wasn’t an option, so I quit.
What followed was messy - trial and error, moving abroad, taking courses, and exploring new paths. I even gave meditation another shot. Sure, I could sit on the cushion for a while, but it still felt boring, and staying motivated was tough.
It wasn’t a straight line or glamorous journey, but every messy step brought me closer to something real: work that aligned with who I am and what I care about.
Just as I found my footing, life threw me a curveball. An accident with serious consequences left me unable to function or work for a long time, forcing me to truly slow down, really slow down.
At first, it was excruciating. I didn’t know how to just be. But in that stillness, I learned something life-changing: slowing down isn’t a weakness - it’s a superpower.

Slowing down to speed up
Mindfulness and meditation helped me navigate uncertainty, chronic pain, and fear. They taught me to pause and reconnect instead of powering through on empty.
Now, I meditate regularly. It’s not just sitting on a cushion - it’s a way to meet myself where I am, tune in, and give my mind a break. For someone who couldn’t sit still, it’s been a game-changer. I’ve found calm, clarity, and enough inner peace to handle life’s chaos.
Slowing down helped me uncover what truly matters - my energy, values, and how I want to spend my time. It gave me the clarity to rebuild my life and career around what feels meaningful, not what I “should” do.
That shift changed everything.
Slow living isn’t about determining how little we can live with - it’s about working out what we simply can’t live without.

Today, I help people like you - stuck, uninspired, and drained by work - navigate career transitions and move toward something better.
I’ve rebuilt my life around what feels good to me. I run my own business supporting people through transitions, and teach mindfulness to help others find calm and balance. I also pursue creative projects that keep me inspired and energized.
It’s not about chasing a “perfect job.” It’s about crafting a life that feels right for you - one that truly lights you up.
What I do
Real luxury is not working like a maniac to take an expensive vacation - it is living a life you enjoy every day.
Kathy Gottberg
I’ve walked this messy path myself, and I’ve helped others do the same. Whether you’re:
Drowning in a job that doesn’t fit anymore,
Unsure what’s next but desperate for change, or
Stuck in a transition that feels overwhelming and scary
Want to feel more balanced and calm inside
… I am here for you.
With proven frameworks, mindfulness practices, and a no-BS approach, I’ll help you slow down, get clear, and move toward a life and career that that fit you.
This isn’t about overnight transformations or hype-filled promises. It’s about doing the deep work to create something real and sustainable - on your terms.
Let’s get started.
Why work with me
“Change is not a threat; it's an opportunity. Survival is not the goal; transformative success is.”
Seth Godin
Here is what I learnt
• Clarity comes from action, not overthinking. You don’t find your dream career by sitting on the sidelines. You have to try, experiment, and learn through doing.
• Your values are your guide. When you align your work and life with what truly matters, everything changes. It’s not about the title or salary, it’s about meaning and how you want to live your life.
• Fear is normal, but staying stuck is worse. The unknown is scary, but staying in a situation that doesn’t serve you will only make it harder to leave later.
• Slowing down and finding calm is essential. Inner calm makes space for clear thinking, better decisions, and a way forward.
• It’s okay to leave behind old versions of yourself. It is your life and do what makes you happy.
• Trust your instincts and create your own journey. Even if it goes against the grain. Discover what truly excites and inspires you.
• Mindfulness and meditation work. You just have to do it regularly. It is like a muscle you need to train.
• Your body’s got the answers. It’s sending you signals all the time - you just need to pay attention. Trust it, and it'll lead you to what you really need (no need for a crystal ball).
Some fun facts about me
When I’m stressed, I organise my wardrobe or fold laundry. It’s oddly calming.
I’m obsessed with decluttering. Sometimes I overdo it and end up rebuying things I actually needed!
I took my time figuring out what I wanted to do after school. I switched subjects twice and attended five different universities. As you can see, it really took some time!
Time zones? Still not my strength. I once missed a flight home from Thailand and almost missed Christmas because I miscalculated the time. Lesson learned!
I’m passionate about learning languages and use it as an excuse to watch trash TV in their original versions. (It’s “studying,” I promise!)
During my time as a student in Oslo, I fell in love with Norway - though I still can't understand out how people argue in Norwegian. This language sounds so sweet all the time, how can they actually be mad?
I love learning news stuff. As Mahatma Gandhi says: “Live as if you were to die tomorrow. Learn as if you were to live forever.”
Here are some trainings I did…
• Yoga teacher training (Yam Yoga, Munich)
• Personal development & social entrepreneurship
(Knowmads, Amsterdam)
• Education technology training

• Art of hosting (Karlskrona, Sweden)
